The process of designing furniture is just like architecture for me.             When doing bespoke design, that has to work for a particular setting, the furniture and surroundings should correspond with one another and work harmoniously. Furniture should also have what I describe as 'honesty' and 'integrity' both functionally and aesthetically. When it does, then furniture and surroundings integrate in a way that is natural, beautiful and most satisfying.
